Digital Talent 50 Forum
China currently faces a shortage of nearly 32 million digital professionals. As enterprises accelerate their digital and intelligent transformation, they are encountering a critical supply gap for digital-era "new blue-collar" technicians, with the "talent crisis" becoming increasingly severe. This underscores the growing importance and urgency of cultivating digital expertise. Driven by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, IoT, and blockchain, the digital economy has emerged as the dominant economic form and a powerful engine for growth. Since the 20th National Congress, national leadership has prioritized the digital economy, recognizing that as a technology-driven sector, its development relies fundamentally on talent as the core foundation and driving force.
With the continuous advancement of national digital development strategies, the integration of digital technology and industrial transformation has become the new norm, marking the arrival of an era with critical demand for digital talent. Both the 15th Five-Year Plan and the 2035 Vision Outline emphasize the mission of accelerating digital development to build a "Digital China." As the digital economy scales, technologies iterate, and digital governance improves, multidisciplinary digital talents will become the core engine for industry growth. They are essential for promoting digital industrialization, driving industrial upgrading and high-quality development, and serve as the pivotal support for the construction of a Digital China.
