On April 30,Alliance Institute Entrepreneurs visit Shouhang Hi-Tech in Dunhuang.
As a private enterprise leading the charge in carbon neutrality, the project represents a significant long-term commitment. With a total investment of RMB 3 billion and an expected payback period of 12 years, the road ahead is demanding. The team expressed deep admiration for Mr. Huang, General Manager of Shouhang Energy Conservation, and Mr. Liu, General Manager of the Dunhuang company, for their professionalism, perseverance, and strong sense of national mission. They have cultivated numerous talents in the solar thermal power field, and the participants gained valuable insights from the company's internal organizational structure and career progression system. As a pioneer in solar thermal power generation, Shouhang has been deeply committed to technological innovation, holding 100% independent intellectual property rights. It is precisely due to the persistence of entrepreneurs with strong entrepreneurial spirit and national sentiment that sustainable ecological development becomes achievable even in this vast desert.

Shouhang Hi-Tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2001, is an A-share listed company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 002665). The Shouhang Hi-Tech Dunhuang 100MW Solar Thermal Power Station, located in the Photoelectric Industrial Park of Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, is one of the first batch of "National Solar Thermal Power Demonstration Projects." Connected to the grid on December 28, 2018, it became China's first 100MW national solar thermal power demonstration station. Equipped with an 11-hour molten salt energy storage system, it can generate electricity continuously for 24 hours, with annual carbon dioxide reductions equivalent to the environmental benefits of 10,000 acres of forest.
Covering an area of 7.8 square kilometers, the power station features a 260-meter-high heat collection tower and is equipped with over 12,000 sun-tracking mirrors, with a total reflective area of 1.4 million square meters. Known as the "Super Mirror Power Station" and the "Smart Sunflower," it is the largest solar thermal power station in China and Asia in terms of installed capacity. It also holds world records for the largest single-unit mirror field, the tallest heat collection tower, and the largest molten salt storage tanks.
